Was just what I needed to mail a large wooden sign.
I bought these to make pot cozies for backpacking dinners. I throw my dehydrated food into boiling water then put the pot in the cozy for 10 to 15 minutes while the food re-hydrates. These envelopes are lighter than the cozy I made from an old foam sleeping pad and lower cost to replace. I cut down the envelop to fit my pot and used stick-on velcro to hold it closed. The metallic padding held up to the hot pot and kept the food warm. It works well enough that I am giving them to friends (along with my home-made dehydrated dinners).
